Focus Areas

Clinical Placements
We offer subscription services to our Clinical Placement Software System for nursing, surgical tech, and EMS students participating in clinical rotations. CTHP is constantly working to maximize clinical placement space in order to grow healthcare programs in the greater Austin area.
Nursing
The nursing shortage is the largest gap in employment for healthcare. The deficit of nurses grows larger every year, which is why we have workgroups and initiatives in place to increase nursing graduates in the Central Texas region. Education and Industry must come together to solve the nursing shortage and we provide that opportunity for collaboration and innovation.

Through the Central Texas Healthcare Partnership, Austin’s major hospital systems have collaborated to expand clinical opportunities, add new programs, and increase simulation usage. These efforts have more than doubled nursing graduates over the past five years, with a 20% increase in the last year alone.
Severe Shortage Careers
There are five key severe shortage careers we are currently working towards addressing. We have implemented initiatives such as apprenticeships, upskilling, and recruitment to help address the shortages in these occupation opportunities.

K-12
We are dedicated to filling the gaps in healthcare and ensuring there are enough healthcare employees to provide care to Central Texas. We have dedicated workgroups focusing on educating K12 students about careers in healthcare. Resources are available on career pathway, profiles, and industry data so that students can make an educated choice about their future.
