The Mobility + Infrastructure (M+I) Sector Partnership brings together employers, educators, workforce leaders, and community partners to strengthen talent pipelines for Central Texas’ infrastructure economy.
Mission
The partnership leads in the development and growth of the Central Texas M+I workforce in transportation, construction, and other skilled trades. United in the commitment to align and collaborate on leveraging resources for the benefit of the industry and community.
Vision
With the investment in transformational regional infrastructure, we can address affordability challenges by creating family-supporting jobs and sustainable career pathways, while improving regional mobility.
Why It Matters
The rapid expansion of population and projects – including Project Connect, Austin airport and convention center expansion, IH-35 expansion, and more – underscores the need for a robust M+I workforce. Since launching this innovative public-private partnership in March 2025, we have built a central hub that integrates recruitment, training, and wraparound supports — including childcare — to connect local residents to careers in transportation, construction, and other skilled trades.
