Do I need to create a 'Work in Texas' account before attending? Can I get help making one?

It’s highly recommended to create a Work in Texas account before attending to ensure faster processing. Work in Texas is the state’s official job matching website. Creating an account gives you direct access to Workforce Solutions Capital Area’s specialized services at no cost, including career training, scholarships, child care assistance, resume review, interview prep, job search assistance and more.

For help creating an account:

What’s on the agenda?
  1. A short presentation on our region’s most in-demand jobs, our services to connect people to jobs, eligibility info, and what’s next.
  2. Assistance creating a Work in Texas account (if you haven’t already).
  3. Optional job fair to connect with local employers hiring now and community resources.
What happens if I arrive more than 15 minutes late to my session?

We understand that delays can happen, but please note that arriving more than 15 minutes late to your session may require rescheduling to ensure we can provide the best possible service. If you anticipate being late, we recommend contacting us as soon as possible to discuss your options. Thank you for your understanding!
