Large capital projects are expected to create 10,000 mobility and infrastructure jobs annually in Central Texas and we are seeking student feedback to help us educate the K-12 audience about how they can ‘Make a Living Making Austin’ through opportunities in the mobility and infrastructure sector.

To meet the high demand for skilled workers, Workforce Solutions Capital Area will manage the job seeker and job creator marketplace which will be the Austin Infrastructure Academy. The Academy will connect local people to career pathways in construction and operations.

In an effort to gather insights and feedback from K-12 students to gauge their knowledge about the mobility and infrastructure sector, we have developed a survey to discover what aspects of M+I are most intriguing and relevant to students to help build out programming at the Austin Infrastructure Academy.

With over $25 billion being invested in mobility and infrastructure projects in Central Texas, and with large capital projects expected to create 10,000 mobility and infrastructure jobs annually in the region, Workforce Solutions Capital Area is preparing the workforce needed to build and operate these generational projects through the Austin Infrastructure Academy.

Workforce Solutions Capital Area, in collaboration with career and technical education directors across various school districts in Central Texas, has developed a survey to seek feedback from local K-12 students to help support the development of quality career pathways in mobility and infrastructure. Student voices will help build out programming for young adults at the Austin Infrastructure Academy where they can learn how to ‘Make a Living Making Austin’.
